Dear Rotarians,

The Rotary Club of Hamilton is hosting its annual Combined Service Clubs Dinner at Kedron Wavell RSL Club on Wednesday 27 January 2016 at 6 for 6:30pm.

Last year’s dinner was a great success with more than 120 people from various service clubs (including Rotary, Probus, Apex, Lions, Apex, Quota & Zonta), along with their partners and friends. It is a good opportunity to meet like-minded people helping the community.

Guest speak will be Robert “Crash” Craddock, Chief Sports writer for the Courier Mail and presenter with Fox Sports.

The main beneficiary of the night is The Salvation Army  Rural Chaplaincy Fund. The Salvation Army provides a network of support for
people in regional and remote areas in need of practical assistance, or who would simply benefit from a listening ear or a hand of friendship.
The Salvation Army has 12 Rural Chaplains covering most of NSW, ACT and Queensland. The Outback Flying Service also operates in remote and isolated
areas. The chaplains conduct regular visits to farmers and rural workers, maintaining ongoing personal contact and support between visits.

I’m sure we all know how tough out mates in the outback are doing. Despite some recent rainfalls, there are many areas that have not seen any decent rain for a long time. Along with financial aid and feed for their dwindling stocks, many are in desperate need of counselling and emotional support.

Tickets are just $40 which includes a 2 course meal. Attached is a flyer with some more information. Enquiries can be directed to Mr Norm Wilson of the Rotary Club of Hamilton.

Kind Regards,
