Last Week's Meeting

Les called the meeting to order and President Dan welcomed all to the meeting. We had one visiting Rotarian, Alan Gillespe from the Brisbane Rotary Club.

Gordon Watson gave a brief history of our Global Grant which amounted to $57,000. He informed the club that Rotary International is going to conduct an audit. This will involve a lot of time and paper work on Gordon’s behalf.

Win Fowles reminded us that the Combined Meeting of Rotary Clubs for the Community Fund of the Sunshine Coast University is on next Wednesday at 6.00 pm. Caloundra Pacific will be presented with a Gold Plaque in recognition of donations of $10,000.

Peter Hovey is homeless and looking for a house sit from mid May to June.

RIKI TIKI was conducted by Barb Bailey and won by our guest Alan Gillespie. Barb volunteered to do RIKI TIKI at our next meeting.

Sergeant Patrick extracted fines from all despite the bad jokes.

 

President Dan and the club wished all those going to the Solomon Islands a safe and productive time.
