Guest Speaker, Cameron from Mercedes, was introduced by Allan Morgan.
Cameron  started as a chef at Sheraton Port Douglas, he then had a cadetship with Holden in WA. He has worked for Gary Crick in Nambour and then Noosa. He is now at Currimundi.
His topic was the future of driverless cars. He noted that Mercedes patented the automobile in 1886. There has been more changes to the automobile in the last 30 years than there was in the previous 70 years. 1906 saw the first electric vehicle.
Three states in the USA now allow autonomous cars. The problem will be for humans to trust the technology. The younger generation will probably see these cars and because of the costs, these cars will most likely be a shared arrangement of some sort. Private ownership of cars may not exist in the future.
President Dan gave the vote of thanks.

The raffle was drawn and won by the luck members.

President Dan thanked everyone for his year as president. He has enjoyed his year and like many before him felt that it went too fast and that there were many opportunities left for him.

He reminded everyone to register for change over and that the next semi-annual dues are due.
He then closed his final ordinary meeting of his year.
