Every one of us has the power to make a real difference and help create a cleaner Australia. From joining a local Clean Up, or hosting your own, to simply making a donation, every bit counts.

By joining together against waste and taking action, no matter how small, we can protect and preserve our beautiful country for generations to come.

Each Committee will meet to discuss past events, if neecessary and forthcoming events.

Also discussion about matters/issues relating to each individual committee and discussion to achieve the correct outcome for the Club and its members.

HospitalPJs.com was founded by Amanda after her daughter, Sophie, suffered a stroke at just four years old and became a frequent patient at the Mater Children’s Hospital. Inspired by the challenges of hospital life, especially the difficulty of dressing a child connected to medical equipment, Amanda began designing bright, hospital-friendly pyjamas that were both practical and uplifting.

What started as a way to bring comfort to Sophie soon grew into a mission to support other children and families during hospital stays. The pyjamas are now donated free of charge, thanks to generous sponsors.

Today, Sophie is 20 and at university, working alongside Amanda to raise $100,000 in honour of Queensland Children’s Hospital’s 10th birthday—continuing their commitment to bringing dignity, colour, and comfort to children in care.

 

Our visit to the QIMR Berghofer Institute.

This trip has been arranged by Barbara Bailey and The Vocational Service Committee.

Our Bus will leave the Caloundra Bus Transit Centre at 8.30am sharp on 16th April and return at around 3.30pm.

Numbers are limited to 20 people who must be able to stand for about 20 minutes during the tour and must wear 'covered in' footwear.

The tour will take around 30 minutes.

Morning tea will be provided and a lunch stop has been arranged at the Victoria Park Bistro where you can buy your own lunch if required.

Please book early and the cost must be paid up-front to confirm your booking as seats are limited to 20.

This week's meeting will be with Mooloolaba club at the Mooloolaba Bowls Club.

Club meeting at the Powerboat Club;  we can order individual choice of meals for $25 pp (must be 20 meals ordered....)

Let's give it a trial lrun and see if it suits what we need.

Visit to Gregson and Weight in Caloundra is confirmed.

Restaurant to eat at afterwards, yet to be decided.

The Hon Dan Purdie MP, Minister for Police and Emergency Services, and Member for Ninderry, is our guest speaker tonight - on Road Safety and our RYDA kprogramme.   He will be arriving approx 7.15 pm.

Food will be provided by Subway - cost approx $25.00 TBC.
