The contribution to concluding World War 1 by LTGEN Sir John Monash and the Australia Corp. LTGEN Monash was regarded one of the best generals on the western front in Europe; he possessed real creative originality for the use of combined arms operations.

His combined use of Infantry, Armour, Artillery and Aviation at the Battle of Hamel on 04 Jul 1918 provided a blueprint for conducting offensive operations on the Western Front.

Monash's combined arms tactics lear to what’s now referred to as the 100 day war over the period 08 Aug - 11 Nov 1918 when the German forces signed the armistice, thus ending WW1.

Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific member and all round superstar, Les Pontin, will be participating in the Vinnie's Sleepout AGAIN in 2024.

For one night, Thursday 20th June, Les will be 'sleeping rough' outside to help raise funds and awareness for those experiencing the harsh realities of homelessness.

Les has a fundraising target of $5,000 for 2024 and we would love to see him exceed his goal.

If you would like to donate please use the link below and let's help Les and St Vinnies break the devastating cycle of homelessness.

Our early club members built the Tourist Information Centre on Caloundra Road, and the legacy of their hard work has now entitled us to rent out the billboard advertising spaces located there.

Council has specified that we advertise tourist attractions only, so when we find suitable advertisers this provides us with a regular source of income for distribution to charities of our choice. This is one way in which we can work smarter not harder. Australia Zoo has just withdrawn their sign, so we now need to find advertisers for the two vacant spaces that are now there. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. The Queensland Air Museum has indicated that they will replace their full-size sign now that we have a long-term maintenance agreement with Council.
