Good morning, Presidents and Secretaries!

My name is Jane Hillyard and I’m the current District 9620 RYPEN Chair. I’m reaching out to your club to provide some information for you to distribute to your members. We’re super excited to announce that:

Expressions of Interest are currently being accepted for roles on the 2024 RYPEN Executive Committee & Leadership Team. 

AVAILABLE ROLES:

RYPEN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

The Executive Committee is responsible for making decisions on the broader aspects of the running of the program. We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the following positions on the Executive Committee:

• • Vice Chairperson
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Program Director
  • Lead Trainer

LEADERSHIP TEAM 

As a leader at RYPEN, you will gain valuable skills in leadership, decision making and self-recognition. You will also have the benefit of working in a team of like-minded individuals all from diverse backgrounds with whom you can learn from and share ideas to develop your own confidence and ambitions. We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for the following positions in the Leadership Team:

● Program Coordinators (x2)

● Senior Leaders (x5)

● Junior Leaders (x5)

HOW TO APPLY

To express your interest in a position within the 2024 RYPEN Executive Committee & Leadership Team please complete the RYPEN Expression of Interest form here prior to midnight on Tuesday 13 August 2024. Please keep in mind holding a position on the Executive Committee in the lead up to RYPEN does not prevent you from applying for a leadership team role at RYPEN. 

I have included some information below for members who aren’t as familiar with the program. 

ABOUT RYPEN:

RYPEN stands for the Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment. RYPEN is a weekend long residential camp that is designed for young people aged 14-16 (Grades 9 -11) who have a high amount of potential across a range of areas, and just need to be shown that they can be exceptional. The program has evolved over many camps and is designed to provide participants with an opportunity to foster their self-concept, reflect on their direction and identify how they relate and work with others in a number of challenging environments 

RYPEN is an incredibly valuable and unique experience for the participants which allows them to engage with like-minded people, discover their values and grow their communication and leadership skills, all whilst having fun! 

RYPEN 2024 UPDATE:

The RYPEN Committee is currently negotiating venues, dates and costs for the 2024 program.  

More information will be circulated once the venue, dates and costs are finalised. For the moment:

• Do you know someone who'd love to attend RYPEN as a participant? Ask them to register their contact details here and we will send them an application form as soon as they're released.
