Win welcomed visiting Rotarian Paula and our exchange student Terka pictured here with Paula Boyd-Billings, a visiting Rotarian from the UK.

Barbara Baily presented the international toast to the Rotary club of Ljubana international in Slovenia. She gave a great talk on the history of the club, and what they are doing now. Such as removing Plastic bottles from the country.

Les Pontin has a group of 10 to help at the annual CCSA hall clean up. It is a fun morning and a great way to interact with our members and help the community.

Guest Speaker.
Les introduced Andrew Holland from the Caloundra Lions Club. They have a similar size club to ours and the same size internationally. A great talk about their club and how we should work together on projects.   President David Wallis thanked the Lions club and gave us a little rundown about our club and how we were alike in many ways.
Sergeants session by Win and Les was table by table affair, with a great outcome for the money cup.
The raffle by David J and Les P was won by Evelyn M, Peter A, Mike H and David J, with the chocolates shared around to all.
Next week we are at the Kings Beach surf club for Pizza “Yummo” Partners night.

Update from Win Fowles
For those who remember Theresa Benkert, our 2000-2001 Youth Exchange student from Germany, here she is with husband Matthias and their four children. The family spent about three years in the USA (Fort Sill, Oklahoma) and all are now back in Germany. Matthias was promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel a few days ago. Theresa tells me that her parents Tomas and Doris intend visiting Australia again early next year, including the Sunshine Coast, so we'll see what we can arrange. It's some 15 years since Theresa and Matthias, and Theresa's parents, last visited the Coast and our club. A top family.
