International Toast:
Greig Lee-Archer proposed a Toast to the Rotary Club of Cairo Cosmopolitan.
The Club is part of District 2451 and was founded in October 1989 as the first English -speaking RC in Egypt meeting weekly on Monday over breakfast (at 7.45 – 9.00am)
As a cosmopolitan Club, their aim is to bring together Egyptians and foreigners, building bridges to other countries worldwide. So they welcome foreigners to join their Club. They are honoured to be one of the most active clubs in Egypt.

Left home at age 15 to a Psychiatric Hospital at Nth Ryde NSW – to train as a nurse. Whilst living in the nurses home a taxi driver one night wanted to drop her off at the main entrance – thought she was an inmate!!!!
Her mother did the same course.
Induction:
Tania Cherry commenced the induction of Patti Wilson with the usual Rotary spiel.
Patti was introduced by Peter Hovey with the introductory letter read by Peter Higgs.
She has taught in Catholic schools in Townsville, Charters Towers, Innisfail, Cairns, Caloundra,Aboriginal Community in the Tiwi Islands and finally Siena Primary. Pattie retired from teaching in 2020 and began another chapter when she joined Caloundra Family History Research group and became her family’s official researcher. This is her hobby and obsession.
She is interested in learning more about Rotary through her involvement and looks forward to experiencing its fellowship services.
In keeping with Patti’s wishes above – she has been placed in the Youth Services Directorate with Director Geoff Leddy.

* Bonnie Lynn shared that in conjunction with the Sunshine Coast Council a plaque is to been commissioned an will be erected at the Happy Valley rotunda Caloundra in recognition of Dawn Wilson and Pat Kinghorn – founders of Share a Meal.

* Les Pontin requested the Board to consider publishing Members telephone and email addresses in the Handbook. He also renewed a call for all Members sit with different members at meetings each week. This will promote fellowship within the Club.
