Committee Management

David Smith will be looking after the committee allocation this year. If you feel strong about being on a particular committee please email David on davidsmith49@westnet.com.au or give him a tingle on 0419 645 734. Otherwise you will be allocated to a committee as per Dave's determination.

A bit of a recap of the avenues of service:

Club Service - Ross Harrison

Club Service focuses on strengthening fellowship and ensuring the smooth functioning of Rotary clubs. For our club this includes Clubrunner, Bulletin, Guest Speakers, Fellowship and Welfare.

Vocational Service- Brad Eldred

Vocational Service involves club members serving others through their professions and aspiring to high ethical standards. Rotarians, as business leaders, share skills and expertise through their vocations, and they inspire others in the process. For our club this includes Pride of Workmanship Awards, vocational visits, vocational categories and business involvement

Community Service- David Millar

Community Service is the opportunity Rotary clubs have to implement club projects and activities that improve life in the local and international communities. In our club this involves lift the profile of our club locally, local and international projects and generally is about giving back to the community. Some projects include the Solomon Islands Global Grant Project, Clean Up Australia Day and Caloundra Music Festival.

International Service- David Smith

International Service encompasses efforts to expand Rotary’s humanitarian reach around the world and to promote world understanding and peace. It includes everything from contributing to PolioPlus to helping Rotary Youth Exchange students adjust to their host countries.

Youth Service - Peter Higgs

Youth Service recognises the positive change implemented by youth and young adults involved in leadership development activities, community and internal service projects, and exchange programs that enrich and foster world peace and cultural understanding. For our club this entails Rotary Youth Driver Awareness, Rotary Youth Program of Enrichment, Rotary Youth Leadership Award, National Youth Science Forum and maintain our relationship with local primary and high schools.
