Hope Within Reach

President Elect Dan, Patrick, Robyn and I attended the annual Winter Warmers night for Hope Within Reach on Saturday night at the QWA hall in Caloundra.

The night is for those sleeping rough and those doing it tough, giving out clothing, toiletries, swags and canned food.

Joel Archer and his band of volunteer's made sure there was plenty of dinner for everyone, serving up Pea and Ham soup, Shepherd's Pie, Chilli con carne, Lasagne, Beef stroganoff and Apple Crumble or Sticky Date Pudding for dessert.

A bit hard to believe this is happening in our back yard, but it was nice to help out and make a small difference to those less fortunate than ourselves.

Great to see our club has supported Joel and his organisation, by way of our "Hungry Rotarians night" and a donation for such a worthy cause.
