President's Message
Last week we held our Social Night and Partner's Night at the Caloundra RSL. It was a great night of fellowship and laughs, and for some dancing. This Thursday night, we welcome Hon. Mal Brough MP as guest speaker.
This week everyone will receive the 2015-16 Member's Handbook. Ross and Donna have spent an enormous amount of time compiling this handbook for everyone's use. It will make everyone's life just that little bit easier. I will print a hard copy to hand out.
Directors are starting to call their committees together for their first meeting of the year. If you are not sure which committee you are on please refer to the member's handbook or alternatively ask Ross Harrison. I recommend that we keep the same Committee structure for three years as stated in the Club's by-laws.
We still have about 6 or 7 guest speaker spots available this year. If you know a potential guest speaker please get in touch with our Program Coordinator Will Waterford.
Finally this month is Membership and New Club Development Month. I am not the type of President to want to grow numbers at any cost however please consider bringing a friend to any Rotary meeting or function. Although they might not become a member, they will be exposed to the good work done by our club.
I wish everyone a good week and especially to Peter & Yvonne Higgs celebrating their anniversary on the 4th and David & Ann Johnston on the 8th.
