President's Message

Hi Everyone,

It was great to have nearly 50 people at Partner's Night last week featuring Angela Miles from RACQ Careflight. Angela's presentation was very informative and the fact that she works tirelessly to fund the shortfall of $10 million dollars each year to fund the helicopter service is incredible.

We have three or four nominations for the Board next year and although we have plenty of time available we would like to get it organised as soon as possible. The very important position of President-elect is yet to have a nomination, although Allen Morgan expressed interest. All rosters are now in place for venue setup, international toast, sergeant session and fellowship officer. Please embrace your responsibility for the month and please remember that there is no expectation for you to fulfill your duty every meeting of the month however it is your responsibility to find someone to do it with you or replace you. If you feels over committed please discuss this with me as soon as possible and likewise for anyone that may feel under committed.

Next week we have a Vocational Visit to Nexberg - the manufacturers of Evakool eskies. Allan and George will show us through their venture. Did you know that they are the largest manufacturer of 12 volt fridges in Australia? Please bring your partners, business associates, friends and family. The $25 per head will include BBQ, nibblies, beer, wine and raffle. I will continue to accept registrations for this event up to Wednesday night.
