RI Council on Legislation - 2015 - Call for feedback

The Council on Legislation for Rotary International (RI) will be held in Chicago from 10-15 April 2016.

 

This is a triennial event where enactments and resolutions are debated and voted on by District Representatives and Officers of RI.

 

Approved proposals will affect the compilation of the Manual of Procedure and Code of Policies of RI. 

 

This in turn may have an effect on the Constitution and ByLaws of a Rotary Club.

 

Please request the proposed enactment and resolutions to go before the Council from your Club President.

 

In November all representatives from the Districts comprising Zone 8 will meet in Melbourne to review and discuss the proposals.

 

Should the clubs have any queries, issues or comments that may be beneficial to the discussion and voting, please pass these on to me before 31 October 2015.

 

Submissions must be in writing stating the number of the proposed legislation and whether you agree with the proposal or wish to put forward any alternative arguments.
