MORE than 240 Rotarians and friends from 12 Rotary Clubs across the Sunshine Coast raised more than $20,000 through a rather different fun night of trivia. To give the night a quirky edge, humorous photographs were projected on the screen to accompany each question. The music-related questions were played on the keyboard by Rotarian Trevor Steel. Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific's Bryan Mason was pleased with the outcome.

"We knew the night was going to be successful, but it exceeded even our expectations and importantly, the money raised will be donated to one of our favourite projects ROMAC (Rotary Oceania Medical Aid for Children)," he said. ROMAC brings children to Australia mainly from the Oceania region for life saving and/or dignity restoring surgery that they cannot access in their own country. In January this year ROMAC treated its 400 patient and is supported by compassionate surgeons and their teams who often donate their time and expertise. They also learnt new techniquô€€“s that have benefited the children. This compassion coupled with minimal overheads ensures every dollar exceeds its worth.
