In light of President Pete's comments about how significant Rotary is I thought I'd share this sign:

Rotary is 1.2 million people from around the world who come together to create positive, lasting change in our communities. Our impact starts with our members where we work with our clubs to solve our local community challenges. We are supported by an International Organisation, which as Peter pointed out, has a seat on the UN, and in turn we support its objectives to have a truly global reach.
Some of the goals include:
- Improving Literacy - from our club donating school supplies to Rotary representatives working with the UN to improve reading skills throughout Central America
- Eradicating Disease - from our club improving sanitation in the Solomon Islands to the Global End Polio Now campaign
- Improving the Environment - from our club participating in Clean Up Australia Day to Rotary International setting a challenge of planting 1.2 Million trees
