Rotary Recognises Workers through Annual Pride of Workmanship Awards

Rotary Club Caloundra Pacific has got together to recognise employees who have demonstrated high work ethic within their place of employment with the annual Pride of Workmanship Awards.

The awards night is being held on the 13th of November from 6pm at the Caloundra Golf Club. Every October Rotary Club Caloundra Pacific ask local business owners within Caloundra to nominate an employee who stands out above the rest with the Pride of Workmanship Awards being delivered in November.

Vocational Services Director of the Rotary Club Caloundra Pacific Patrick King mentioned that it is not just an employee of the month award, but recognising employees who show pride in their work by doing it once and doing it well.
“This award is dedicated to employees whom the Caloundra community recognises have an incredible level of work ethic and pride in what they are doing on behalf of their employer.” Patrick said.
Michael Shadforth from the Caloundra Chamber of Commerce who will be available to present at the annual Pride of Workmanship Awards believed that the award night was a great way in thanking employees who work hard.
“Having people being nominated for working so hard on behalf of their employer is possibly the best way of saying thank you because without some of these hard working men and women some of these employers would not be as successful as they are today.” Michael said.

Currently there are five employees that will be awarded the prestigious Pride of Workmanship Award in front of a possible crowd of sixty people. Over six hundred clubs across the world participate in the Pride of Workmanship Awards ranging from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Canada, United States and South Pacific nations which has been ongoing since 1975.
Patrick King believes that the awards night is a vital means in improving personal performance in the workplace.

“Rotary Club Caloundra Pacific’s aim behind the Pride of Workmanship Awards is to give employees a sense of pride for the amazing performances within the local community which is internationally recognised by Rotary.”
Entry to attend the event is $25 with dinner and a cash bar provided on the night.
