Council’s Caloundra Regional Gallery is calling all passionate art collectors on the Sunshine Coast to unearth their hidden treasures for a unique exhibition to be displayed from December 2015.
Division 2 Councillor Tim Dwyer said if you are the proud owner of a painting, sculpture, photograph or object with an interesting story, Caloundra Regional Gallery wants to hear from you.
“It could be a well-known painting by Warhol or Namatjira, a Venetian glass vase or even a special artwork created by your grandchild,” Cr Dwyer said.
“A specially curated selection of works and their stories will be showcased at the gallery throughout December 2015 and January 2016.
“This is your chance to share your own personal artworks and treasures for the community to enjoy.
“We want to hear the story behind the artworks which will add to the intrigue of this fascinating exhibition.
“The community can contact the gallery to discuss any potential inclusions, small or large, by the end of this week on 5420 8299 or email gallery@sunshinecoast.qld.gov. au
