Presidents Message

What a great couple of weeks we have had. Ian Baker Finch Charity Golf Day, great guest speakers, Pride of Workmanship Awards, RYDA, trailer raffle and Melbourne Cup. Yesterday's Melbourne Cup was a fantastic event, thank you to everyone who attended. Mick Sullivan spoiled us with our own marquee on the member's terrace. 

Congratulations to all our award recipients at our Pride of Workmanship Awards Dinner last week. Thank you to all the club volunteers at the event for hosting a great evening. A special thank you to Vocational Service Director Brad Eldred for his exceptional work. Brad is a fine Rotarian.

This week we are at the TAFE Dinner at the Mooloolaba Campus of TAFE Queensland East Coast. Again we are very lucky to be invited back for an evening of incredible food and fellowship. A little bit of confusion with numbers for the dinner has not helped, however we now have 34 people attending.

The trailer raffle has kicked off in fine form raising $755.80 on the first day. I think Stan took 20 cents out for parking. Again, a big thank you to Past President Stan Nawrocki for championing this raffle - he has put in a lot of time to organise the trailers, the prizes, raffle tickets and rosters. We still need a bit of help - please check out the roster and volunteer for some shifts if possible.
