On August 3rd, 2017 the Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific welcomed 4 new members.  Rotarian Tatiana Porter introduced inductees Tania Cherry, CFO at Workplace Central, Stephanie Day, HR Manager at Workplace Central, and Nicole Martin, Workplace Partner at Workplace Central.  Rotarian Tony Long introduced inductee Paul Brennan, CEO of Contour Consulting Engineers.  This was a record night for the club and we are all looking forward to welcoming our new members and with their skills being able to serve the community better.
Workplace Central became the first corporate member of the club in May 2017, with CEO Tatiana Porter becoming the first individual member and her colleagues at Workplace Central becoming friends of the Club.  Through attending regular meetings and participating in fund-raising and community events including the Biggest Morning Tea, Relay for Life, Open Cockpit Weekend at the Queensland Air Museum and the Youth Driver Awareness Program, three more of the team at Workplace Central decided to join the club as individuals members.

Tania Cherry is a qualified accountant and has a history working in superannuation.  She originally hails from Hobart and has been living in Queensland for most of her adult life.  She started in retail and found she was good with numbers so becoming an accountant was a natural progression.  According to Tania she has an affinity with numbers, according to her colleagues she has an equal affinity with people.  She hopes to use her skills to serve the community and the objectives of Rotary.

Stephanie Day is an experienced HR Manager, filling her days mostly with people and their problems.  She approaches every problem with compassion and professionalism.  Growing up in the Barossa Valley, then moving to Adelaide for work, she has met all kinds of people and understands that patience and communication can break down all kinds of barriers.  With her skills she has been placed on the Youth Committee and hopes to support community initiatives that aim to support those most in need.

Nicole Martin grew up in Oregon, USA and came to the Queensland in a roundabout way.  She originally migrated to Victoria but ended up in Caloundra because her husband had attended high school here.  In her professional life she builds relationships with hundreds of employers and employees and this comes naturally to her, as is evident through her caring nature and infectious smile.   She has already volunteered to host a Rotary Exchange Student and is thrilled at the prospect of having Clarice for Christmas.

After supporting the Rotary Club of Caloundra Pacific over the years, including as a sponsor of the Golf Day, Paul Brennan, CEO of Contour Consulting Engineers is becoming a Rotarian and his business is becoming a corporate member.  His colleagues Brett Thomson and Chris Fulcher will also attend meetings as friends of the Club.  Paul has an extensive history with horse racing, working at the Sunshine Coast Turf Club in Caloundra where his father was a trainer.  He held a variety of jobs at the Turf Club including racing services manager, before moving to Racing Queensland. In 2012 he became CEO of Contour Consulting Engineers. He now lives in Mooloolah with his family and is interested in serving the community through Rotary.
